Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Merchandiser who understands the fast-evolving e-commerce landscape and has a strong ability to identify the right products for the market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product planning, sourcing, and management while ensuring that the product selection aligns with consumer demand and business goals. This role requires expertise in the Furniture, Household & Office Goods category, along with a solid understanding of U.S. e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
· Merchandising & Product Management
o Develop and execute product strategies based on market research, competitive analysis, and consumer trends.
o Identify and curate a product assortment that aligns with e-commerce demand and customer needs.
o Oversee product lifecycle management, from sourcing to launch, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
o Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and factories to ensure product availability and consistency.
· Product Sourcing & Supplier Management
o Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers to source competitive, high-quality products.
· E-commerce Market Insight & Strategy
o Analyze data and trends to make informed decisions on product selection and pricing strategies.
o Leverage insights from e-commerce platforms to optimize product listings and inventory planning.
o Stay updated on consumer behavior, industry trends, and competitor activities to refine merchandising strategies.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
· Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Furniture, Household & Office Goods category.
· E-commerce Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. e-commerce platforms and how products perform in online marketplaces.
· Sourcing & Supplier Management: Ability to identify, evaluate, and manage third-party manufacturers and suppliers.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and product performance data.
Optional/Preferred Qualifications
· Language Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) to facilitate communication with global partners and suppliers.
· Experience Level: Around 10 years of relevant experience in merchandising, sourcing, and product management.
